For the students, writing in English is not easy. They have to involve several skills at once such as find ideas and vocabulary, grammar, general knowledge, and spelling, etc. and most students cannot do it in the same time. Therefore, the teacher must make students interest in writing activity. In the foregoing curriculum, the teachers are given autonomy to create their own teaching technique, teaching materials and teaching methods. Harmer (2001:209) explains that film can enhance simulation and build students creative ideas.For this reason, the researcher conducted a study dealing with use Folktale Movie to answer these questions; (1) Can folktale movie improve the content of the students’ narrative text? (2) Can folktale movie improve the grammar of the students’ narrative text? (3) Can folktale movie improve the vocabulary of the students’ narrative text?
